Local Governments Technological Research and Development
Association (MITAGED) was established to provide consulting
services and support for organizations and agencies concerned,
especially municipalities dealing with issues regarding local
governments' powers and responsibilities, to offer them the
opportunity to cooperate with people and organizations based abroad
and to broaden such cooperations. MITAGED continues to provide
services in those fields.
YEREL DUNYA is a bimonthly magazine published by MITAGED in both Turkish,
English and Russian.
Our magazine is distributed to all municipalities, governors' offices,
district governors' offices, special administrations, ministries and
their sub-departments as well as embassies and consulates free of
charge. A copy of the magazine has been sent to Aras Kurye A.S. for
being delivered to your address.
In addition, YEREL DUNYA will be sent to municipalities, ministries,
chambers of commerce, and organizations located in Europe, Asia, and
Africa free of charge.
We would appreciate if your embassy provides our association with
assistance about the following issues:
1. Informing
our Association about the names of managers, addresses, telephone and
facsimile numbers of the municipalities, umbrella organizations of
municipalities, ministries and chambers of commerce in your country in
order to enable us to send our magazine to the correct addresses of
organizations and agencies based abroad.
2. We
plan to publish historical, geographical, and social facts about a
specific country in each edition. We need a four-page article in
Turkish and English including information and photographs about your
country.
3. We
also need names of two mayors from your country, who will be invited
to attend some seminars, conferences, and meetings we will organize in
Turkey in the future (while our Association pays attendance fee,
accommodation and boarding expenses, visitors will bear their own
travel expenses).
4. We
would like to establish contacts with a municipality in your country,
which carries out outstanding activities about local governments, so
that we can publish an article about that municipality, its mayor,
activities and projects in an edition of our magazine.
Our Association is ready to contribute to create a suitable
environment for cooperation in order to ensure that the mutual effort
between our countries and local governments is enhanced and turned
into a meaningful and beneficial process.
